Team 8-3 Homework

**Topics are listed in the weekly plans at the beginning of the week.  Assignments will be added and adjusted as the week progresses.  Plans are tentative and could change throughout the week.  Do not totally rely on the Team Homework Blog.  The best way for students to stay organized is for them to use their planner everyday.

Science for the WEEK with Mrs. Brown--   

Monday--  We are continuing the moon watch.  This will be the last week.  Planet information sheets were worked on.

Homework:  Look for the moon on October 5th.  Extra credit constellation due 10-6. Please take care of any missing work.

Tuesday--  Planet information sheets were completed.  We watched a video on why Pluto is not a planet.  Compare & Contrast the Planets homework sheet was handed out.

Homework:  Compare & Contrast the Planets sheet due at the beginning of class on Wed.  Use your planet information sheets to complete it.

Wednesday--  Solar System Sleuthing Activity.  Planet information sheets will be handed in. Information on comets - meteors - asteroids.

Homework:  Constellation sheets for extra credit due on Friday.  Keep looking for the moon as we are dealing with weather this week. :) 

Thursday--  Galaxy and Solar System Notes will be taken today.  Space School Milky Way video to watch. 

Homework:  Moon Watch to do for tonight.  This will be our last viewing.

Friday-- Moon Watch Data will be updated.  We will be doing a moon summary sheet.  Notes will be finished if needed. 

Homework:  Any make up work that is due must be taken care of.

History for the WEEK with Mr. Kaslon--   

Monday--  Finished the last 15 minutes of the John Adams video.  Lastly, put together our American Revolution notes booklet and took notes over the Strengths and Weaknesses of the British and American Armies.

Homework:  Review objectives to prepare for upcoming quizzes or tests. 

Tuesday--  Finish Strengths and Weaknesses of the Armies notes.  Take notes over Battle tactics used during the Revolution and a few heroes during the war.

Homework:  Review objectives to prepare for upcoming quizzes or tests.

Wednesday--  Watch video on the Pennsylvania Rifle vs. Brown Bess the musket (1:45).  Learn about a few heroes of the American Revolution and take notes in the War booklet.  Learn about Washington's spies during the war.  Watch a 5 minute video about the Culper Spy Ring and Nathan Hale.  Read the children's book called "The Scarlet Stocking Spy."  BONUS:  "The Scarlet Stocking Spy" is a book test and you can earn 1/2 a point!  Woot Woot!!

Homework: There will be a quiz tomorrow over Strengths and Weaknesses, Battle Tactics, Washington's Spies, and a few heroes of the Revolution.  Keep reviewing objectives.

Thursday--  Quiz over Strengths and Weaknesses and Battle Tactics.  After the quiz we took notes over 6 important people (heroes of the revolution).  Finally, we started learning about the Battle of New York and took notes in our Rev. War booklet.

Homework:  Keep reviewing objectives and your Rev. War booklet to prepare for quizzes and tests.

Friday--  We started class by finishing learning about the the Battle of NY.  Next, we learned about the Battle of Trenton and took notes in our Rev. War booklet.  Finally, we watched the first half of a video on the Battle of Trenton.

Homework:  Keep reviewing objectives and your Rev. War booklet to prepare for quizzes and tests.
