Team 8-3 Homework

**Topics are listed in the weekly plans at the beginning of the week.  Assignments will be added and adjusted as the week progresses.  Plans are tentative and could change throughout the week.  Do not totally rely on the Team Homework Blog.  The best way for students to stay organized is for them to use their planner everyday.

Science for the WEEK with Mrs. Brown--   

Monday--  Notes were completed on the Solar System and the Milky Way.
Homework:  Solar System quiz tomorrow.  Pages 11-14 in your notes.  Use the homework handed back today also. Please take care of any missing work.

Tuesday--  Solar System Quiz today.  Down on the Moon activity started in class.
Homework:  Take care of the quiz if you were absent.

Wednesday--  Moon characteristic notes started today.  Revolution and rotation time for the moon.  Phases pictures will be drawn and what side of the moon we see will be discussed.
Homework:  Get the notes you need from Mrs. Hanson or see your table partner.

Thursday--  Moon characteristic notes continued.  Catch Up Time.
Homework:  Notes to get caught up on.  Please see Mrs. Hanson for practice on how to do Catch Up Time for the moon.

Friday-- October Constellation of the Month.  
Homework:  Story and information needed to do the new constellation will be on Google Classroom.  Any make up work that is due must be taken care of.


History for the WEEK with Mr. Kaslon--   


Monday--  We finished the Battle of Trenton video that we started last Friday.  Next, we took notes and learned about the Battle of Saratoga.  Students were told to wear tennis shoes and the appropriate clothes on Wednesday because we will be outside for class the whole period.
Homework:  There will be a quiz tomorrow over the Battle of NY, Trenton, and and the first 6 heroes in the Rev. War Booklet.  Review objectives to prepare for upcoming quizzes or tests. 

Tuesday--  We reviewed the Battle of Saratoga and then students took a quiz over the Battle of NY and Trenton and the first 6 heroes in their War booklet.  Next, students learned about the battles at sea and American Naval hero John Paul Jones.  Finally, we continued with our Heroes of the Revolution quotes and information.  Students used their history textbook and visited the following three websites to investigate, corroborate and interpret what they  learned about John Paul Jones and the War at Sea.

Homework:  Review objectives to prepare for upcoming quizzes or tests.

Wednesday--  Our classroom moved outside today.  Students experienced what it was like for George Washington and his Continental Army at Valley Forge.
Homework:  Finish reading the Navy & John Paul Jones websites and take notes in your Rev. War Booklet.  Keep reviewing objectives and your War booklet to prepare for a quiz on Friday.  

Thursday--  We started by reviewing our Valley Forge activity from yesterday and then reviewed all of our objectives and notes to prepare for the quiz tomorrow.  We watched a 15 minute video on the Battle of Monmouth and took notes.  Lastly, students listened to a song about John Paul Jones American Naval Hero.
Homework:  Quiz tomorrow over Saratoga, War at Sea (Navy & John Paul Jones), and Valley Forge.  Keep reviewing objectives and your Rev. War booklet to prepare for quizzes and tests.

Friday--  Students took a quiz today.  Next, we learned about the War in the West and George Rogers Clark.  Finally, we learned about the Battle of Cowpens.  Students also read a handout on Daniel Morgan and how he helped save the South for the Americans.
Homework:  Keep reviewing objectives and your Rev. War booklet to prepare for quizzes and tests.
