Team 8-3 Homework

**Topics are listed in the weekly plans at the beginning of the week.  Assignments will be added and adjusted as the week progresses.  Plans are tentative and could change throughout the week.  Do not totally rely on the Team Homework Blog.  The best way for students to stay organized is for them to use their planner everyday.

Science for the WEEK with Mrs. Brown--   

Monday--  Notes were completed on the Solar System and the Milky Way.
Homework:  Solar System quiz tomorrow.  Pages 11-14 in your notes.  Use the homework handed back today also. Please take care of any missing work.

Tuesday--  Solar System Quiz today.  Down on the Moon activity started in class.
Homework:  Take care of the quiz if you were absent.

Wednesday--  Moon characteristic notes started today.  Revolution and rotation time for the moon.  Phases pictures will be drawn and what side of the moon we see will be discussed.
Homework:  Get the notes you need from Mrs. Hanson or see your table partner.

Thursday--  Moon characteristic notes continued.  Catch Up Time.
Homework:  Notes to get caught up on.  Please see Mrs. Hanson for practice on how to do Catch Up Time for the moon.

Friday-- October Constellation of the Month.  
Homework:  Story and information needed to do the new constellation will be on Google Classroom.  Any make up work that is due must be taken care of.


History for the WEEK with Mr. Kaslon--   


Monday--  We finished reading the War in the West handout about George Rogers Clark and discussed how he was able to defeat the British in the Ohio Valley and prevent them from winning the war.  For the rest of class students read about Daniel Morgan and Francis Marion and how they saved the Americans in the South and won the war for America.  Students who did not finish reading the handout must finish by Wednesday and take notes in their Rev. War Booklet.  
Homework:    Review notes in your Rev. War Booklet and your objectives to prepare for the test on Thursday. 

Tuesday--  Students read about the final battle the Siege of Yorktown and the terms of surrender in the Treaty of Paris.  Students were given a review sheet of test questions to help prepare for the Revolutionary War Test.  For the rest of class students watched a video over the Revolutionary War to help review for the test.  
Homework:  Review notes in your Rev. War Booklet and your objectives to prepare for the test on Thursday.  You can also use the Test Review to help you study.

Wednesday--  Our classroom moved outside today and played capture the flag Revolutionary War style.  Students made connections with the game and the Revolutionary War that we have learned about in class.  Part #1 of the Revolutionary War Test tomorrow is over the 18 American Heroes and Battlefield Tactics.  
Homework:  Review notes in your Rev. War Booklet and your objectives to prepare for Part #1 of the Revolutionary War Test on tomorrow.  You can also use the Test Review to help you study (Questions #7, 10, 11, 18-31, 36, & 38.  

Thursday--  Students took Part #1 of the Revolutionary War Test today on Google Classroom.  It was about the American Heroes (18) in the Revolution and the 9 battlefield tactics.  For the rest of class we reviewed and prepared for Part #2 of the Revolutionary War Test which is over Causes, Battles, Outcomes, Spies, Hardships, Treaty, and Effects.
Homework:  Study and prepare for Part #2 of the Revolutionary War Test.

Friday--  Students took Part #2 of the Revolutionary War Test.  The only day that students will be able to retake Part #1 & #2 of the Revolutionary War Test is this Monday.  So, when students see their score if they are not happy with it they need to study for a retake over the weekend.  Students then began learning about our first written plan of government "The Articles of Confederation" and issues Americans faced after the Revolutionary War.
Homework:  Keep reviewing objectives to prepare for upcoming quizzes and tests.
