Team 8-3 Homework

Science with Mrs. Brown--  Students filled out the Constellation sheet that parents need to sign when the Summer Triangle is located in the night sky.   Students read the Constellation stories of Cygnus, Lyra and Aquila and then began the Constellations and Asterisms August Constellation WS.
                                                                                              
Homework-   Get the Constellation of the Month Parent Information sheet signed and turned in by Aug. 30 and look for the Summer Triangle.


History with Mr. Kaslon--   Students got their 13 colonies quiz back today.  After the quiz we reviewed the English Trade Laws and the Triangular Trade.  Next, students read page 95-97 in their history book and took notes over the French and Indian War on a history frame.               
                     
Homework--  Students can review all of the objectives we have covered so far this term (3.1-3.6).                      

English with Mrs. Szymanski--   Students reviewed the 8 parts of speech by doing a word sort. 

Homework--   You are welcome to finish coloring the notes organizer, but it is not homework. Read.

Pre-Algebra with Ms. Ockinga--   We talked about the groups in numbers in the system of Real Numbers, such as natural, whole, integers, rational and irrational numbers.  

Homework--  Finish the worksheet.  Use your notes or refer to pages 14-15 in your math book.

Algebra with Mrs. Ockinga-- We practiced the distributive property and combined like terms.
Homework -  Worksheet from class should be finished.

9/21/17 Team 8-3 Homework Other items of importance: Parent-Teacher Conferences next Monday. Join us for "drop-in" times next Monday from 4 - 5:30 pm or sign up for an appointment  here  .    Science with Mrs. Brown--    Today we worked on identifying the characteristics of Red Giant, White Dwarf and Main Sequence stars using the stars luminosity and surface temperature.                                                                                                 Homework-      Finish answering the questions on the Comparing the Sun Activity question sheet.  Be sure to write in complete sentences. History with Mr. Kaslon--     We started by working on the Thomas Paine "Common Sense" assignment for 10 minutes.  For the rest of class we read the Declaration of Independence and talked about our class project on the Declaration of Independence.  Students were assigned 1 or 2 parts to rewrite and draw a picture for.  We will work on this in class for 30 minut

Homework:  Answer the questions on the Variables worksheet. Tuesday--   Practice identifying variables in experimental designs. Homework:  Finshing the Variables 2 worksheet if you did not get it done in class. Wednesday--   Writing a hypothesis for the testable science questions.
