History with Mr. Kaslon--   We reviewed Colonial Government (how its setup and the effect it has).  Next, we worked on vocabulary.  Finally, we learned about the English Trade Laws and the Triangular Trade.  Tomorrow we will have a Triangular Trade Relay outside before we take our 13 colonies quiz.               
                     
Homework--  Students should review objectives and assignments from class.  There will be a quiz on Friday over the 13 Colonies Map (Objectives 3.1-3.3).                    

English with Mrs. Szymanski--

Honors English with Mrs. Szymanski--

Pre-Algebra with Ms. Ockinga--   We practiced turning fractions to decimals and percents using the computer game Decention on www.mathplayground.com 

Homework--  Know why you move the decimal point two places right when changing a decimal to a percent.

Algebra with Mrs. Ockinga-- We evaluated expressions using order of operations.
Homework -  Page 7 #31 - 34 and page 13 #15 - 35

9/21/17 Team 8-3 Homework Other items of importance: Parent-Teacher Conferences next Monday. Join us for "drop-in" times next Monday from 4 - 5:30 pm or sign up for an appointment  here  .    Science with Mrs. Brown--    Today we worked on identifying the characteristics of Red Giant, White Dwarf and Main Sequence stars using the stars luminosity and surface temperature.                                                                                                 Homework-      Finish answering the questions on the Comparing the Sun Activity question sheet.  Be sure to write in complete sentences. History with Mr. Kaslon--     We started by working on the Thomas Paine "Common Sense" assignment for 10 minutes.  For the rest of class we read the Declaration of Independence and talked about our class project on the Declaration of Independence.  Students were assigned 1 or 2 parts to rewrite and draw a picture for.  We will work on this in class for 30 minut

Homework:  Answer the questions on the Variables worksheet. Tuesday--   Practice identifying variables in experimental designs. Homework:  Finshing the Variables 2 worksheet if you did not get it done in class. Wednesday--   Writing a hypothesis for the testable science questions.
