History for the WEEK with Mr. Kaslon--   


Monday--  Students were given their grade for their Mountain Man postcard project.  We reviewed the Texas Revolution and the Alamo story by completing a history frame.  Students were then given the Texas Postcard Project and time to work.    
   
Homework:    The Texas / Alamo Postcard Project is due on Thursday, February 22nd. 

Tuesday--  We filled out our Maps that were made in IND with all of the Manifest Destiny information that has been learned.  We reviewed the Texas Revolution and Alamo story again to prepare for a quiz tomorrow (Wednesday).  
  
Homework:  The Texas / Alamo Postcard Project is due on Thursday, February 22nd. 

Wednesday--  Students took a quiz over the Texas Revolution and the Alamo.  For the rest of the class students worked on their Texas / Alamo Postcard.

9/21/17 Team 8-3 Homework Other items of importance: Parent-Teacher Conferences next Monday. Join us for "drop-in" times next Monday from 4 - 5:30 pm or sign up for an appointment  here  .    Science with Mrs. Brown--    Today we worked on identifying the characteristics of Red Giant, White Dwarf and Main Sequence stars using the stars luminosity and surface temperature.                                                                                                 Homework-      Finish answering the questions on the Comparing the Sun Activity question sheet.  Be sure to write in complete sentences. History with Mr. Kaslon--     We started by working on the Thomas Paine "Common Sense" assignment for 10 minutes.  For the rest of class we read the Declaration of Independence and talked about our class project on the Declaration of Independence.  Students were assigned 1 or 2 parts to rewrite and draw a picture for.  We will work on this in class for 30 minut
