Science with Mrs. Brown- We discussed question 5 and 6 on the Moon Phase Lab. We used the Moon Calendar on question 6 and then handed it in. We also took notes over the Moon Phases and Solar Eclipses and watched videos that illustrated solar and lunar eclipses.

History with Mr. Kaslon- Today students spent about 10 minutes working on their introduction paragraph for their legacy paper. For the rest of the period we reviewed 16.3 The Californios. We also read 16.4 together in class and learned about the Mountain Men.

Homework -Students should be working on their Legacy Paper and reviewing what we learned in class from 16.1-16.4. The Legacy paper will be due on Monday, February 20th. There will be a quiz over 16.2-16.4 tomorrow.

History with Mr. Kaslon- Today in class we reviewed the Boston Massacre and read a newspaper article from the Boston Gazette and answered a few questions. For the rest of the class we read the account of the Boston Tea Party and students started working on a study guide for tomorrow. Students also had the choice to drink my homemade pine needle tea or not.

Homework- Complete the Boston Tea Party worksheet for tomorrow. There will also be a quiz over information from 5.1-5.6. Students can always review all we have learned in class to prepare for future quizzes or tests.

Rule 2: If the signs are different, subtract the larger absolute value and the smaller absolute value. Use the sign of the larger.

Homework- Read section 1-5. Do on page 24 #25 - 28 and 39 - 56. When evaluating expressions, write the rule. On #46, 47 and 48, you are to write sentences to answer the question.

We also started the Comparing the Sun with Other Stars activity. The colors of the stars was determined using the surface temperature of the stars and we started graphing the stars on the H-R Diagram.
