Science with Mrs. Brown- We continued with the Moon Watch project and discussed the data students collected. Check your January/February calendar handed out in class to see if you go out tonight at 9:00 PM to view the moon's phase, direction in the sky and elevation in the sky. Bring this information to class tomorrow to share with your classmates. Set an alarm on a phone, clock or stove timer so you go out at the correct time. We also continued with the moon survival activity by working in groups to rank the 15 items.
Homework- Finish the poster on Element Uses that is due on Friday. You will also hand in the Element Information Packet tomorrow. The January constellation is due on Feb. 1st.

History with Mr. Kaslon- Today we reviewed Manifest Destiny and discussed how and when the US acquired Louisiana, Florida and Texas. Students then began reading and working on a study guide that focused on the acquisition of Oregon.
Homework -Read the first three paragraphs on page 204 and complete the first four questions on the study guide for tomorrow.

English with Mrs. Szymanski - Students began a final practice before next Tuesday's NeSA (Nebraska State Accountability) writing assessment. Students spent the class period gathering ideas, doing a prewrite, and writing a rough draft of a descriptive essay about a place they like to eat. Tomorrow we will head to the computer lab to publish our final copies.
HOMEWORK: Read for AR--34 days until points are due.

Pre-Algebra with Ms. Klein: We discussed the quiz from last week to review rates, ratios, proportions and Dimensional Analysis. We introduced indirect measurement.
HOMEWORK: None.

Algebra with Ms. Klein:We graphed inequalities. All rules of inequalities apply. If you divide or multiply with a negative number, you must change the direction of the symbol.
HOMEWORK: Page 384 #10-24 evens.
